How I look after the information you share with me. Last updated 14 October 2026.
This website, mercedessieff.com, is run by Mercedes Sieff. The retreats I lead at Yeotown Devon and Yeotown Madeira are run together with the Yeotown team, who help administer bookings and look after you during your stay. For anything to do with your personal information, email admin@yeotown.com or call 01271 343803.
When you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, what you are interested in and your message.
When you book, I hold the details you give when booking and on the short registration form that follows, including dietary requirements, injuries and allergies. This health information is used only to keep you safe and well looked after.
Payments are taken securely by Stripe. I never see or store your full card details.
If you join my mailing list, I hold your email address so I can send you news of retreats and events.
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam, and the site is hosted by Webflow, which keeps basic technical logs to run the site securely.
To reply to your enquiry, to manage your booking and your stay, to keep accounts and meet my legal obligations, and to send you news if you have asked for it. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in each one.
I rely on the following lawful bases: taking steps to enter into or carry out a contract with you; my legitimate interest in running and improving my retreats; your consent for marketing emails and for the health information you choose to share; and legal obligations such as tax records.
Only those who need it to look after you or run the business: the Yeotown team, the venue hosting your retreat (for example, Malabar Hill in Sri Lanka), and the services I use, namely Webflow (website and forms), Stripe (payments), Mailchimp (email newsletters), my email provider and my accountants. Some of these process data outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards. I never sell your information.
Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Booking and payment records are kept for six years, as required for tax. Health information from registration forms is deleted after your retreat unless it is needed for a later booking. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive a copy to take elsewhere, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email admin@yeotown.com and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please tell me first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
